Confirms the partnership with Starpool for sport recovery
Sport performance requires constant physical and mental commitment, with intense training, matches and away games in close succession. In the world of professional sport, rest and recovery are as important as training and effort. If included appropriately in the preparation program, they not only help to reach immediate performance spikes, but also allow you to maintain them over time. This is why recovery is one of the most strategic areas to get competitive advantage and improve results in professional sports.
The players of Genoa Cricket and Football Club know it well: in fact, for the second year in a row, they chose us from Starpool as their Wellness partner for sport recovery during the preparation of the 123rd edition of the Italian soccer championship.
During their summer retreat in the Fassa Valley, the team were able to enjoy our advanced technologies, developed in an innovative format entirely dedicated to products and programs dedicated to full psycho-physical recovery and improvement of sport performance. Once again, our Recovery Lab turned out to be a precious ally for the team, allowing athletes to recover in the best possible way after each training session.
Ice Bath and Zerobody Dry Float for athletic recovery
Inspired by the tradition of thermalism, based on the alternation of heat, water and rest, our Scientific Research Department has developed sophisticated technologies to optimise physical recovery. Our solutions take advantage of heat to improve blood flow and favour perspiration; of cold, to ease muscle pain and stimulate the endocrine system; and of reduced gravity, to promote venous return and the cardiovascular system. These technologies are customised according to the needs of the athletes and integrated in the training programs thanks to the collaboration of the team technical staff. They are an essential component of the training program.
In the Recovery Lab designed for the team from Genoa, the players were able to enjoy Zerobody Dry Float, a dry floatation system for psycho-physical recovery, the improvement of sleep and the enhancement of cognitive abilities, used by professional athletes and international teams like Manchester City, LA Rams and San Francisco 49ers.
However, the true novelty of the year is Ice Bath pro. On the sidelines, the players could try the regenerating power of this innovative pool for cold therapy, the only one on the market to accommodate up to five people at the same time. This innovation, in its simplicity and effectiveness, is an ideal solution to reduce muscle pain and accelerate recovery after intense effort. The pool is designed to maintain water temperature between +4°C and +8°C degrees, the ideal range to favour vasoconstriction and reduce muscle inflammation.
The pool features two-level benches, which allow athletes to decide how deep the immersion should be, thus adjusting to the specific requirements of each player. Ice Bath fits perfectly in our Recovery Lab which, thanks to Zerobody Dry Float, allows the athletes of the Genoa team to cope with the preparation phase in the best possible way, improving the quality of sleep, reducing the risk of injury and ensuring greater mental sharpness and physical readiness.
The partnership between us from Starpool and Genoa CFC is confirmed for 2024 as well, solidifying yet again the profound and lasting connection between sport and wellness.
