Footbath
A ritual for the well-being of your feet and body
What is a footbath?
You’ve certainly already heard of it, but have you ever wondered what a footbath is and how it is done? The etymology is from the Latin “pediluvium”, more commonly referred to as “foot washing” or “foot spa ritual”, and simply defines the fact of soaking your feet. Thanks to the cold or hot temperature of the water and its movement, you’ll enjoy considerable relief. Moreover, by using products like Epsom salt and essential oils, you’ll be able to enjoy multiple benefits and not only to your feet, but to your body as a whole.
As a matter of fact, a footbath helps you regain energy, reduce joint pain, swelling, tingling sensations and soreness, which are often not limited to just our feet, but include also backache or pain in the knees, wrong posture, unstable walking and slowdown of venous and lymphatic circulation. So, we can say that taking care of our feet means taking care of our body.
Where to do it? In the sauna, in a relaxation area or comfortably on your sofa.
