Beauty Rituals inside the Steam Bath
Regenerate and renovate your skin after summer
Characteristics of the steam bath
Steam baths offer a regenerating experience thanks to the combination of heat and humidity. With a temperature around 45°C and a humidity rate of 98%, it creates an embracing sensation which relaxes the body and favours the production of serotonin. The steam favours natural skin exfoliation and improves perspiration, making skin brighter and smoother.
Inspired by the ancient traditions of the Roman baths and of the Arab hammams, the contemporary steam bath features both heat and humidity, both essential elements to cleanse skin and relax the body. Steam inhalation and the water droplets help to remove dead cells and to reinvigorate skin.
Treatments inside the steam bath
Combined with complementary treatments, the experience becomes a beauty ritual that doesn’t only regenerate skin, but also prepares it for the next season. Let a soft cloud of humidity envelop you for 10-15 minutes, the ideal time to soften your skin and prepare it for the treatment. Then exfoliate it with a scrubbing product. You can use it on your entire body (except for your face) to achieve deep cleansing. Scrub products – enriched with plant-based or mineral microbeads and available in creamy or jelly texture or in salt – act in combination with steam, improving skin firmness and hydration.
After steam exposure and exfoliation, you can apply a face mask: nourishing, clay-based for dry skin or charcoal-based for oily or combination skin.To complete the treatment, use a toning lotion (preferably alcohol-free) to rebalance pH and close pores. Take a mild shower and then rinse with cool water. At the end, relax with some hot herbal tea or infusion. Finish your ritual with a rich nourishing cream, containing ceramides and vitamins, to restore skin brightness and hydration and enjoy a moment of relaxation with a warm drink.
